Care at Home
Personal Care
In supporting your independence with dignity and compassion, I provide personal care for any daily tasks you may need support with, such as bathing, showering, applying creams and lotions, dressing and toileting, all in the comfort of your own home.
I ask you about your regular routines, and then I ensure that my support is tailored to your specific requirements. I offer discreet and professional personal care in the way that’s most comfortable for you, and I always ensure that your dignity is intact at all times.

I also assist with helping you to the toilet, including using a commode or bedpan, changing continence pads, and cleaning intimate areas. I am also fully trained in the care and maintenance of Stoma and catheter management and other forms of clinical intervention.
I provide personal care in a way that is discreet and respectful of your personal boundaries. I have undertaken extensive training and am fully compliant with DoLS (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards)
Positive Pathways
I engage with each individual after an illness, stay in hospital or injury to support them back to health. Many individuals after a hospital stay or illness find themselves regressing with abilities, eating, drinking and communication and even basic movement.
I work with the individual and their family members to find practical solutions to re-enable them to become active again.
Sometimes, after a hospital visit, individuals living with dementia can find themselves unable to undertake their basic sequencing such as using the stairs, dressing, eating etc. I work with the individual to re-enable them in these skills.
Find out if Amber Support is for you
I offer a free of charge 30-minute discussion with your family to see if Amber Support provision is something you feel would be right for you, it usually goes on a bit to an hour, but I still don’t charge!
I find that ‘chat’ usually takes over and everyone loses track of time, but I never charge for that initial meeting.
It is incredibly important that everyone in the room is comfortable with me and that often takes time.
What I will stress is that I will always direct the conversation primarily to the person living with dementia as it is vital that they feel included, engaged and central to the decision-making process. It is important that they don’t feel that everyone is speaking for them and especially, over them.
